SPhENo – Cardiograph™ * will offer an innovative cardiac assessment that will calculate Systolic Timing Intervals (STIs), which may contribute to the early detection of heart disease.

Identifying early onset cardiac disease is not easy. People who are asymptomatic are unaware they have cardiac disease until it is advanced. Nine in 10 Canadians over the age of 20 have at least one risk factor for heart disease. Four in 10 have three or more risk factors. Early detection and treatment of  these risk factors will greatly reduce the risk of developing heart disease (6).

Heart Force has designed a simple, accurate, low cost, non-invasive cardiac performance test that can be used to assess cardiac function so that appropriate treatment or therapies may be prescribed and monitored.

The SPhENo – Cardiograph™ will offer an innovative, non-invasive test designed to aid Wellness Service Providers such as Naturopathic Doctors, fitness coaches and trainers, Workplace Wellness Program Directors and Health Risk Assessment practitioners in assessing cardiac performance using Systolic Time Intervals (STI). STIs are a clinically proven measure of heart health (1-5).

The SPhENo – Cardiograph™ assessment is non-invasive and will quickly calculate a subject’s STI. The test will take 30 seconds to perform and will provide an assessment of cardiac performance.

Not only will the SPhENo – Cardiograph™ device have the ability to make an assessment of cardiac performance, it will be available to Wellness practitioners who do not have access to expensive equipment and specially trained technicians. Future clinical investigations are intended to demonstrate a correlation with the gold standard of cardiac assessments – the Echocardiograph. The SPhENo – Cardiograph™ will allow fitness and wellness practitioners access to a sophisticated cardiac device which provides a clinically proven parameter, Systolic Timing Intervals  (1-5).

This patent protected technology is being developed in collaboration with Naturopathic Doctors, Fitness Trainers and other practitioners to ensure it meets the requirements of the Wellness sector.
